What About Telepathy?
Telepathy is not just for Science Fiction and Fantasy. It's a actually been a subject of research for over hundred and fifty years with millions of samples in experiments.
Telepathy has been recorded in South African bush men who have sent the results of their hunt back to their village when they were still fifty miles away.
People can also feel when someone is looking at them - even through telescopes and rifle scopes. Particularly uncanny observations had been made by US Marines snipers in the Balkan war, where they reported targeted terrorists turning around and staring right down the rifle scopes of the sniper before he pulled the trigger.
Other events include animals feeling upcoming earth quakes, pets sensing their owners coming home or people sending the impressions of images to another person who was sleeping and influencing their dreams.
It sounds like a Hollywood story, but all this was reported in controlled experiments, where the success rate was statistically significantly higher than what it would have been had it all been just chance.
Our current materialist world view that only accepts what you can measure and that sees the human mind as a electro-chemical output of a brain as biological machine... this is obviously a worldly and successful way to see things. But it also hits a wall quite soon, which is why, after a hundred years of experiments, we know only little more about consciousness and the mind than we did before materialism became the ruling party.
It is fascinating to go back to classic authors like Thomas Aquinas and to modern authors like Henri Bergson that the materialist world view can grasp the practical side (how to use the world), but not the humane and spiritual side of mankind, which is just as important as the material side.
