eCommerce images are usually done as product photography in front of a white background. And the fashion pieces don't look like much that way.
Using editorial style images of front and back sides and adding editorial images of details the customer can go up close to the fashion piece and appreciate its details and the full view.
I called it the emotional eStore. And it makes sense. Why have a fashion line photographed in an exciting way for a campaign, and then picture it at the point of sales as if it was just a piece of fabric? Why not add the emotions there, too. You can do that and not lose the factual information. On the contrary - this way you can go even up close and check out details in the clothing.
