Venice Beach at Night
Just after sunset begins the hour of the glow in Los Angeles. It's as if the air was charged with light and glowing with warmth, even though the sun has already set.
This would be a great time to shoot a new street clothing line. Natural light, later supported by street lights. The rough street feel.
Venice after sunset, when the tourists have thrown up the bad food they ate and disappeared moaning into their motels.
Venice, one of the most expensive areas in LA, looking like a slum. But it's not a real slum, it's more like a high fashion designer creates a slum look, a ragged collection: the rags lifted up into esthetic lines and folds, in high quality fabrics, and without the smell.
Well, the smell's still here, in Venice, California. Some things you just can't wash off.
